MR200 Desktop Passport & ID Reader

A full-page desktop document reader that captures ICAO 9303 passports, visas and national ID cards with sub-second MRZ/OCR recognition — optionally extending to e-passport RFID chips and UV/IR authenticity imaging. It ships with a complete SDK so integrators can connect it to PMS, border-control, banking and visitor platforms in days, not months.

  • Full-page MRZ/OCR in under 1 second, auto-trigger flap feed
  • Optional ISO 14443 RFID for e-passport / e-ID chip data
  • Optional UV and IR imaging for document verification

Highlights

Identity Verification, Integration-Ready

📇

ICAO 9303 MRZ/OCR Engine

Reads TD1/TD2/TD3 machine-readable zones on passports, visas, travel documents and ID cards, returning structured fields (name, document number, nationality, dates) plus a high-resolution page image.

📶

Optional RFID e-Passport Reading

An ISO 14443 Type A/B module reads e-passport and e-ID chip data using standard BAC/PAC access workflows exposed through the SDK — choose it only if your workflow needs chip verification.

🔦

UV / IR Authenticity Imaging

Optional multi-spectrum illumination captures white-light, ultraviolet and infrared images so your verification software can inspect fluorescent fibers, ghost photos and security pattern features.

🧰

SDK That Integrators Actually Use

One API family across Windows and Linux with sample code, demo tools, structured JSON/XML output and direct engineering support — plus a panel-mount kit for embedding into self-service kiosks.

FAQ

MR200 Reader FAQ

Does the MR200 read e-passport chips out of the box?
MRZ/OCR reading is standard on every MR200. E-passport and e-ID chip reading requires the optional ISO 14443 RFID configuration; the host application then performs standard ICAO access procedures (such as BAC/PAC) using the included SDK. Order the RFID SKU if your workflow needs chip data rather than visual-zone OCR only.
What does the SDK include and which languages are supported?
The SDK provides a device API for Windows and Linux (x86 and ARM), sample projects, demo tools, structured field output and document image retrieval, with integration patterns for common development languages through standard DLL/shared-library interfaces. MHY software engineers provide joint debugging support during your first integration.
Can this reader be mounted inside a self-service kiosk?
Yes. A flush panel-mount integration kit adapts the scan module for kiosk enclosures. MHY can deliver the reader as a component, or build a complete check-in/visitor kiosk with the MR200 module, camera, signature pad, payment and key-card dispenser integrated and tested as one unit.
Can we order the MR200 with our own brand and packaging?
Yes. OEM options include custom housing color, silk-screen logo, branded quick-start materials, custom cartons and pre-configured default interface modes. Single evaluation units are available before OEM volume commitments, and model naming stays stable for repeat orders.
